Webinar: Taking Steps to a Mature Change Management Process
Posted November 29th, 2007 by Joe PendryOn Tuesday, December 4, 2007, StackSafe is partnering with Ecora Software to examine the relationship between operational downtime and immature change management.
StackSafe’s Dennis Powell and Ecora’s Chris Chesley will be discussing the following:
- Why organizations are becoming more concerned with downtime, but budget priorities are lagging behind
- The definitive link between change management maturity and quantifiable business benefits
- Developing a mature change management process
- How to use test and analysis capabilities to improve system availability
- Automating the validation of approved changes and proactively identifying unauthorized ones
The webinar will provide attendees with insight into uncontrolled change as the leading cause of downtime for multi-tier business applications. IT departments are often unaware of these changes because they lack visibility into what is happening in the environment. More often than not, companies fail to adequately stage and test approved changes before they are deployed so that administrators can understand the impact of those changes to the operation. In addition, IT staff is typically unaware of unauthorized changes made outside approved processes until a downtime incident has occurred.
