No More Patch and Pray at Pink Elephant
Posted March 24th, 2008 by Joe PendryYou may have noticed that we have been slowly posting information related to our involvement at the Pink Elephant IT Service Management Conference and Exhibition in late February. This week, we will wrap up our content from the show with a two-part interview we conducted with Troy DuMoulin, Director of Product Strategy (and presenter…and blogger) for Pink Elephant. Troy provided us with some great information about ITIL and IT operations.
But since today is Monday, we thought we’d post content that was a bit lighter. If you have a few minutes between checking the status of your March Madness brackets, you might want to check out these short videos.
The first is the debut of our “No More Patch and Pray” video. As our blog name suggests, we are focused on maximizing the uptime of organizations’ critical applications. Making a change without testing it first is called “Patch and Pray”… and it often leads to downtime. While we were at the Pink Elephant show, we thought we’d have some fun with that concept.
The second is the home video of StackSafe winning the Pink Elephant Innovation of the Year Award. We decided not to edit it because we liked the genuine reaction (laced with many utterances of “wow” and “awesome”) that we captured.
